Coming Soon: Field Grown Bonsai Stock 5/3/10

Field grow

One little man made hill that serves as landscaping and as a growing bed for future bonsai.

Coming soon
I’ve started digging some of my field grown stuff and putting them in plastic containers. Soon we’ll start photographing and putting some up for sale.

Larches and some others
More than half of what I’ve been growing are larches that have been collected here in northern Vermont. All have been pruned some. Some has been wired and a few have even been carved. Most are not bonsai pot ready, but all have good potential.

Stone Lantern
When they are ready, I’ll be putting them up here and on Stone Lantern (where you will be able to order them). Speaking of Stone Lantern, check out our latest sale. I’ve been discounting individual items like a madman, with no end in sight (well, not yet anyway).

  1. I am extremely interested in your field grown larch stock. They are some of my favorite trees to work on and i am trying to reestablish my stock after being robbed a couple of years ago. I live in Maine and would love to check your selection. If you could email me back with any pictures or info I would love to possibly buy some from you. I live somewhat close and travel that way often so pick up would be a breeze. Thanks for your time and I hope to hear from you soon!

  2. Hi Chris,
My larches are in the ground, with no plans on digging or trying to sell anything this year. I’m aiming towards the 2014 US National for some of them. This means I will be digging and potting some next year. Maybe we can talk then?

  3. Wayne,
That sound fine. I am always interested in unique stock larch or otherwise. If you have any stock out of the ground that you are trying to sell, feel free to send pictures and stats to my email address. Rebuilding my stock has been depressing and exciting all at once. Just trying to fill that hole in my gardens soul. I wish you all the luck in 2014 and I thank you kindly for your time! Ciao for now
