Bonsai Mania

Labor of love. I would love to see this majestic and wonderful mountain scene photographed with a neutral background and maybe a little stronger lighting. Still, even with the busy background, this planting stands out as pure inspiration and joy. I found it on Bonsai Mania facebook. The photo belongs to Bambang Gautama’s album. I was unable to determine if the planting belongs to Bambang or someone else.

Hats off
If you’re a facebook user, you might want to visit Bonsai Mania. They have been consistently posting excellent photos of bonsai and powerful natural scenes for a long time. Day in and day out. Such dedication deserves a nod.

Must be China’s Yellow Mountains (Haunshan). A good example of one of Bonsai Mania’s ‘Inspiraciones para tu Bonsái (Inspirations to your bonsai – their translation, not mine)’ which features hundreds of photos of beautiful trees and natural scene.

This belongs to Bambang from Indonesia. I think on the top are ficus and belows are Premna.

The other scene is not Yellow Mt (Huangshan), but ErMei Shan ErMei Mt) in China.
I have the other pictures on this mountain and Huangshan on my FB http://www.facebook.com/robertbonsai

    Thanks Robert,
The photo of the mountains looks strikingly like so many photos I have seen of the Huanshan Mountains (Yellow Mountains) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Huangshan_pic_4.jpg
including the ones in the book Celestial Realm http://www.stonelantern.com/Celestial_Realm_The_Yellow_Mountains_of_China_p/b8celestial-o.htm
Are you certain about the photo?

No, Huangshan has different mountain formation with different rock texture….
Sorry, this is not ErMei Shan, but Taizhe Shan in Hunan, China. I have been there…

So many times I look at the bonsai and I am delighted to see them. Then I read some unwelcomed criticism. Please keep your personal comments to yourself; I like to enjoy the photos without criticism. Thank you.

    Hi Don,
You don’t have to read what I or others say about the trees.
Or, you just go on facebook and see photos of trees. What we are trying to do with Bonsai Bark is to provoke a discussion about bonsai.
