  2. Yeah. A tiny seed in a crack that grows into a tree with almost no soil to sustain it. Not to mention half of each year surviving vicious cold, snow, ice, wind.

  3. When i was younger I would sit in the back of my parents car and had this lingering fascination with weeds that grew in the cracks of concrete freeway dividers. I never understood how it could grow in a crack without “dirt” and all the smog and oil residue.

    It’s kind of ironic how much bonsai has taught me about the resiliency of nature… weeds definitely have their own special category

  4. Yeah. Stick around and keep your eyes open and you see some amazing things. Speaking of weeds, I just read something about new strains of Roundup resistant weeds popping up. It was just a matter of time.
