Up against the wall! I borrowed this from Rosade Bonsai Studio website. And, no, you don’t need new glasses; it’s a little fuzzy because I increased the size to fit it into our format (see below for the original unfuzzy, uncropped version).
I don’t know who lives here
I don’t know who lives here, or even what country it’s in. Maybe it’s Spain. I ran into Chase and Solita Rosade there in 2007 at a large show at Mistral Bonsai.
Rosade Bonsai Studio
We featured another post from Rosade Bonsai Studio a few days ago. As we mentioned then, it’s a good place with friendly people, and, as far as I know, nothing has changed (actually pretty much everything changes all the time, but that’s another story).
The unfuzzy, uncropped original.
What a lovely place!
It is shocking to to see a bonsai garden in this very personal style, out of the long tables as uses to be, fresh air!
One question to the Masters: assuming this is Spain (I bet for it, I am Spaniard), how could be the trees affected for the so close white walls under the hot sun?
Cheers, Al.
I have a hunch these bonsai are in Colombia.
Alan Walker
Pretty neat, but, I would think the walls would be covered in algae from watering………….
Wayne, do you sell a lot of kenzans ? You advertise them quite often. Besides flower arranging do they have another use in bonsai ?Just curious
Lee Squires
Hi Lee
My guess is they don’t stay there on the wall all the time, but I really don’t know for sure.
We sell some kenzans, and as far as I know their only use is for flower arranging, though I wouldn’t be surprised to see them used for other things. They fit in with our interest in Japanese horticultural arts. Bonsai is still our main focus, but our interests range.
Hi Alan,
Do you know something we don’t?
Hi Al,
Maybe they only sit on the wall when the people who live there have guests.
So far, we have one guess for Spain and one for Columbia.
Wayne: I just know that Solita is from Colombia and that the secure compound look of the courtyard makes me think it might be located there.
Aha!
muy espespecial,un sitio de meditacón.
Claro. En veces, bonsai es una forma de meditacon.
